Hey guys- thanks again for tuning in last night for our TXT Q&A broadcast. We did not get to all our questions so I thought I would try to give a couple quick answers.

• When is it time to “shake the dust off your feet” (Luke 9:3-5)? Jesus is giving instructions as he was sending them out to share their faith. He said if a town rejects you- “shake the dust off your feet”- in other words move on. So, when do we move on in sharing the gospel. A couple of things (1) It is the Holy Spirits job to draw people to Christ (2) We never are effective in badgering people into trusting Jesus. I would ask the Holy Spirit to prepare them and me. I don’t know when to give up on someone- I have heard so many stories of people who rejected for years and then came to faith. I believe the message of Jesus is more to us- don’t let the dust of rejection cling to your life – move on.

• Do you think God gives us signs? Let me give you a couple of verses first (1) We live by faith, not by sight 2 Cor. 5:7 (2) And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Heb. 11:6.I believe God gives us confirmation, open doors and leadings by the Holy Spirit but I am very cautious about signs. I have heard so many people abuse the term. I would say this our walk is not by what we see (2Cor. 5:7) it is by who we trust. So do I believe God can give us a sign but His primary leading comes through the Holy Spirit, Prayer, God’s Word and Godly people. Jesus answers a group of people who were looking for a sign in Matt 16:1-4.
