This past Sunday we kicked off our OZ series. I asked this question over and over- “What is in your blank”? What is it that gets the priority in time, money and energy in your life? I am not say we need to be so heavenly minded we are no earthy good. I understand everyone has “life” happening and bills to pay. I am asking what is the filter for your decision making process? If we video taped your life today and then watched it with you, what would we say is in your blank? Our series verse is

  • Luke 10:25-28….. 25 One day an expert in religious law stood up to test Jesus by asking him this question: “Teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 Jesus replied, “What does the law of Moses say? How do you read it?” 27 The man answered, “ ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ ” 28 “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do this and you will live!”

Last weekend we talked about filling the blank in with loving God – heart and soul. This week we look at filling your blank with loving God with all your strength and mind. When I first came to faith, I struggled a lot with this idea: “Do I have to check my brain at the door”? Have you found yourself making a differentiation in “spiritual” and “non-spiritual” segments in life? Want to know what God thinks? Come this weekend and we will explore the topic of how to love God with all your strength and mind!
