Yesterday was a great day at Church at the Bay! Our 10:30am service “felt” electric as our entire church family worshiped together for the first time in nearly 4 years. The theatre did not feel too big- there seemed to be a perfect mix of crowd, and still some room for growth.

As one of the worship leaders, and speaking for the rest of the team, it is so awesome to look out and see a CROWD of God’s people singing and worshiping. Singing to God is not exclusive to corporate settings…I worship God through song often when I’m alone or in a small group. But there is something powerful about the church worshiping together. In Hebrews 10:24, we are instructed to not neglect gathering together regularly for “church” and the Scriptures are packed with instructions to sing and shout to God. Church at the Bay, I am so excited that we get to live this out together. Thank you for your response to God as you worship. I can’t do justice with words to the joy I feel when I look out on Sunday mornings and see people connecting with God–it is the absolute best and most rewarding part of my job.

While I have the floor… let me share one more really rewarding piece of news: Most of you know by now that my wife, Alexis, and I welcomed our third son into our family about 10 days ago. Gatlin Hayes Albright was born on October 30th, 2009- 7lbs 9oz, 20 1/2 inches long. We have been so blessed by our church family during this last month especially. Thank you for all the prayers, notes, food, etc. We are all doing great!

Way to go, CATB! I can’t wait to get together again next Sunday at 10:30am.
