How has God made you?  What are you wired for?  As I look at all God’s creation- I am amazed.  So many species of animals, bugs and such and yet no two fingerprints are alike, no two snowflakes are the same and God’s creativity goes on and on.  Did you know that God also has a different plan for each of us?  This past weekend I talked about God’s Will from 3 BIG categories:

  • God’s Providential Will- the plans that God will accomplish regardless of our response.
  • God’s Moral Will (or relational will)- These are God’s plan for all of us in our relationships and responses to people and God.  Often these commands have a promise attached to them.
  • God’s Personal Will- The plan that God has designed just for you.  It includes God’s Providential and Moral Will.

As we dig into the Personal Will of God for our lives this next Sunday, He gives us clues to our purpose through our design and experiences.

  • What Spiritual Gifts has God given you?
  • What talents do you possess?
  • Are you an introvert or extrovert?
  • What experiences have you had to work through (good and bad)?

All of these questions set up the topic this weekend as we press further into “Game Plan”.  I will also make a free tool available that you can use to discover your Spiritual Gift(s).

What is God’s Will for My Life?

God’s Will is something most of us are concerned about.  How many times have you asked or prayed for understanding?  Maybe you have prayed prayers like these;

  • God, where should I go to College?
  • Father, should I marry her? Him?
  • God, help me find the right job.
  • Father, should I change jobs?
  • Or, Lord what is your will right now?

We began this weekend talking about The Fundamental’s that we need in place- so when it is Game Time we can understand God’s Game Plan (His will or plan).  I firmly believe God gives us specific guidance and like any relationship, the better I know Him the better I can recognize His leading and guiding.

When my kids were younger it was amazing how well I could communicate with them without saying a word (my Dad had that school as well).  There might be a party at our house and the kids were getting out of line…  I could give them a look or raise an eyebrow and they knew exactly what I meant without me saying anything or even correcting them verbally.  I bet you have the same communication ability with people that you are very close with.  That is why we gave three fundamentals this weekend to help you develop your relationship with God so that you can begin to know what He wants you to do.

Can You KNOW God’s Will? Really?

We start a brand new series on Sept. 11th and I am really stoked. Have you ever asked this question, “God, what is your will for my life?” or, “God should I take this job or should I marry this person?” I think we all have!  I know that discovering God’s plan for your life can be frustrating; I too have been there – when I wasn’t sure which way to turn. Yet, I also know God is trying to show me/us His plan.  I believe that discovering God’s plan for my life and you discovering His unique plan for your life is possible.
In this 6-part series we will explain how to discover and embrace God’s GAME PLAN for your life. I hope you will bring a friend who needs to know more about discovering God’s plan for their life. Bring someone with you! One more time – Bring someone with you!  Here is our roll in…
